We decided to get out of Brisbane for the day and head up the Sunshine coast on a road trip in this Holden 3litre beast.
I had a cracking day with the lads in the Glass Mountains, Sunshine Coast and Noosa. The picture above shows Liam, myself & Matt posing next to our noble steed (Great photo from Dick Hoebee).
The sunshine coast was a pretty accurate description of the place. The weather was great and the beaches looked nice along the way however it did have the feel of retirement towns strung along the coast.
We went in the sea at Noosa and got an eerie feeling for sharks in the water, needless to say we only went out waist deep.
We stopped off for the best ribs I have had in years at Outback Jacks. 6 beef ribs and a sirloin steak for $30!! Not too bad at all. It felt like a man versus food challenge however the taste was excellent.
We stopped off at a look out point on the way back to star gaze. As we turned off into the darkness we found a random guy with a smashed up car and headlights out pull up near us. We felt very macho at this point and did a runner!
We headed back on route with the windows fully down playing ACDC and Feed em to the lions blasting out as loud as it could go. It definitely felt like a clubbing atmosphere in the car on the way back.
